We hope that you, your family and all your colleagues are keeping well and safe during these unsettling Covid 19 times.

It has been a very worrying 5 months for us all since Ireland went into lock down and subsequent re-opening from May onwards, and we wanted to touch base with you to keep you informed as to where Allmed are to-day.

We were fully operational over the course of the lock down, with reduced personnel, as we were classified as an essential business. This was due to the fact that we were providing transport services from the Continent to Ireland of PPE, Medical Equipment etc., and through our Chilled business, fresh food for Supermarkets and Food Wholesalers.

Staying open during this period did and has created its own set of issues and problems in trying to provide our customers with the same level of service as heretofore, with less people but also being cognisant of the health and safety of our staff and our customers at all times.

Our European Partners, especially in Italy and Spain, some of whom either directly or indirectly, unfortunately, experienced tragedy in their immediate family, have also endured a very difficult period. Most of their staff, drivers, and warehouse people were either on short term work or 1 week off, 1 week on. Unfortunately, this created service and communication issues over the past five months, as we were dealing with many different people, not familiar with our requirements.

We are glad to say that all of our European Partners are now back up and running as normal or will be doing so once the holiday period is over in August. We have been assured that services and usual contacts will return as before and they will be fully operational from 31st. August.

At Allmed, we continuously strive to provide our customers with the most efficient and competitive service possible. Unfortunately, at times, during the last few weeks, challenges presented by Covid19 have not always allowed us to provide our best level of service to you. We thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.

August has allowed us time to re-group, re-focus and to make some necessary changes within our various departments. You can view these changes on our “Meet the Team” page, view who will be responsible for the various countries we service, and their relevant email addresses & phone numbers.

We have made these changes in order to provide the best possible service and communication to you, and we are confident that we can deliver on this.

We thank you again for your understanding and patience with us over the past 5 months. We are ready, willing and able to go onwards and upwards with you over the coming months and years ahead.

Please stay safe.

Alan Hoyne,

Managing Director.
