As you may be aware Italy closed down for the most part of August, especially the middle two weeks. Please find our loading plan below:
Friday 29.07 – a driving ban will be in place from 16.00 onwards – we should be able to have regular departures on this day.
We will have regular departures up to and including Thursday 04.08.15.
Friday 05.08 – a driving ban will be in place from 14.00 onwards – ALL trucks must be on their homeward journey, out of
Italy, before this time. We will, therefore, require all collections to be back in our various Italian Hubs for loading on Thursday
Week 32 – from 08.08 to 12.08 - this is a closed week in Italy and it is very unlikely we will have any Ambient trailer departures this week.
Week 33 – from 15.08 to 19.08 - this is a closed week in Italy and it is very unlikely we will have any Ambient trailer departures this week.
Week 34 – 22.08 onwards - normal services will resume.
The tile service will not be in place from week 32. It will start back on week 35 (starting on Monday 29.08)
Due to the large increase in extra activity over the next number of weeks ; before the Shut Down ; we would kindly request if
you can try to supply us with as much advance notice of your shipments, so that we can arrange collection and shipping ,as quickly
We may also , in certain circumstances, and in order to guarantee departure of all goods before factories close, that some
shipments may depart on our weekly container services, thus ensuring that no cargo will remain in Italy.
We Thank You, in advance, for your assistance and understanding, over these coming weeks and we will keep you updated, in as
much we can, of ETA’s for all your shipments over the coming weeks.

Forthcoming changes to the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) treaty will require that all containers have a verified weight certificate before being loaded on to a ship.
The changes come into force on the 1st July 2016. The intention is to reduce the number of accidents at sea which are caused by wrongly declared container weights.
The Migrant trouble in Calais in France:
There have been delays & disruptions in recent months in Calais France due to the migrant crisis in Europe. French and English Authorities at times have been thoroughly checking all vehicles going through Border Control. This results in congestion in the port so there can be delays on trucks trying to make ferry departure times from Calais to Dover and also Trucks trying to get into Eurotunnel.
